You can comment on Instagram stories
Instagram has introduced a new feature, with the help of which users now get the facility to comment on stories. Users can now comment on stories along with Instagram posts. Earlier interaction with stories was limited to direct messages, but this update provides a fun and visible way for followers to engage with posts.
How Instagram Stories comments work
Instead of receiving comments in DM, the poster will be able to see these comments directly on their Story. Users have the option to enable and disable comments for each Story they post. When the comments feature is active, comments are visible to all followers of the account, although only mutual followers can comment. As with Stories, these comments will disappear after 24 hours. To indicate that comments are present, small profile photos of commenters will be displayed below the Story icon, letting people know there are comments before they see the post.
