Online Passport Application: If you have applied for a passport online, then now you can easily check its current status on your phone or laptop. You can easily keep an eye on your passport. 1. Passport Seva website:
Go to https://www.passportindia.gov.in/ .
Click on "Track Application Status".
Enter your 15 digit File Number and date of birth.
Click on "Track Status".
Your application status will appear on the screen.
2.Passport Seva Mobile App:
Download the Passport Seva App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Login to the App.
Click on "Application Status".
Enter your File Number and Date of Birth.
Click on "Track Status".
Your application status will appear on the screen.
3.SMS:
Type the 15 digit File Number and send SMS to 51969 from your registered mobile number.
You will receive an SMS with the application status.
4.IVRS:
Call 1800-258-1800 (Toll Free) or +91-11-24300666 (Landline).
Follow the IVRS instructions.
Enter your File Number and Date of Birth.
Your application status will be communicated to you.
5.PSK:
You can also check the application status by visiting your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
Other important information:

After submitting the application, Police Verification (PV) and Passport Office (PO) Verification (PoV) may take some time.
After the application is approved, it may take 3-4 weeks for the passport to be printed and sent by post.
To get a passport:
Visit https://www.passportindia.gov.in/
. Click on "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport".
Fill the online form and upload the required documents.
Schedule an appointment and pay the fee.
Visit the PSK on the appointment date and get the biometrics captured.
