Google is soon going to bring a new feature for Chrome users on the desktop named "Circle to Search". This feature first came in Samsung S24 series phones and then later it was given in some other Samsung and Pixel phones also. This special Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature allows users to search for anything by rotating the screen. For example, you can search by moving text on a webpage or circling an image to find related information.

Will improve lens features

As of now, in Google Chrome, you can find more information about a webpage by selecting text or an image. But a new update is coming for Google Chrome. This update will further improve the Lens feature and bring a new feature like "Circle to Search". With the help of this new feature, you will be able to find information about any text or image by rotating it directly on the screen.

This is how it will work

A new feature is going to come soon on Chrome browser which was first seen on X by a user named Leopeva64. This feature is similar to the "Circle to Search" feature of Android phones. When used, Google Lens of Chrome browser will show a new animation as soon as it opens. This animation will help you find information directly by moving around the screen. It is worth noting that some changes have already been made in Google Lens, such as the facility to blur the screenshot and the Lens icon to track the cursor.

Currently, taking screenshots in Chrome browser on Google Lens is a bit difficult. In this one has to click many times and this method is not very convenient. But with the upcoming new feature, it will be easier for the users to search any text or image directly on the screen by rotating it. Although this new feature is quite interesting, on a desktop you will still only be able to select text or images by drawing a square box, you will not be able to search by rotating them in a circle. Still, this update is part of Google's effort to bring the mobile "Circle to Search" feature to desktop browsing as well.
