Google has finally introduced the upgraded Find My Device network. Google announced it last year in May 2023, but now Google has finally made this special feature available for Android users.

As you can understand from the name of this special feature, it will help users in finding their lost device. Let us tell you about the Google Find My Device network.

Google Find My Device network:

This network harnesses the power of billions of Android devices around the world to help users find lost items or track their location. Google's Find My Device network works exactly like Apple's Find My network.

It works as a crowdsourced network for billions of Android devices with offline tracking support. This means that even if your lost Android smartphone or tablet is offline, you can still track its location and ring it.

You will still get the phone even if the battery runs out:

Google has given a special feature to the users of its Pixel smartphones i.e. Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. They can use the Find My Device feature even when the device is turned off or the battery is drained. Google has mentioned that this is possible due to special Pixel hardware, although Google has not provided details on how this can be done even if the Pixel device's battery is drained.

Users must have at least an Android 9 Pie OS smartphone to use the high-end version of Google's Find My Device network. Google has said that the new Find My Device provides end-to-end encryption for network location data and full device location reporting.
