There is good news for WhatsApp users around the world. Just like on Instagram, you'll soon be able to tag other people in your status. According to a report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature where contacts can be tagged in status.

Testing of this new feature is going on in Android beta version 2.24.6.19 of WhatsApp. Beta users can see and use this feature.

The screenshot shared by Wabetainfo shows that WhatsApp is working on a feature related to status updates.

The report suggests that WhatsApp users will now be able to add contacts to their stories or statuses. For example, if you're updating your status with someone, you can tag that person in your status.

WhatsApp is currently testing this new feature, which will work just like Instagram and Facebook. When you tag someone in your status, that person will receive a notification.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is also working on other features. It includes various features ranging from ease of use to media upload quality. The company has already made the media upload quality feature available on Google Play Store for Android users.
