Flipkart UPI: Now you will be able to make UPI payments from Flipkart, payment apps will get competition!

Online shopping platform Flipkart has launched its UPI (Unified Payments Interface) service 'Flipkart UPI'. This service has been started in collaboration with Axis Bank. Currently, it is available only for Android users. Flipkart UPI offers benefits like Super Coin, Cashback, Milestone Benefits and Brand Vouchers. The company has been testing its UPI service since last year and has now officially launched it for the general public.

This new UPI service of Flipkart is expected to be very beneficial for the customers. This eliminates the need for users to switch to other applications to make payments while shopping on Flipkart. Providing your own UPI service to your customers is an important step for an e-commerce platform. The entry of Flipkart UPI in the market may pose challenges for companies like Google Pay and PhonePe.

Ease with Flipkart UPI:

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the organization behind developing the UPI service, is attempting to reduce the dependence on UPI for select companies. Flipkart mentions that customers can benefit from online and offline merchant transactions within the Flipkart marketplace through UPI payments.

Make UPI payments through the Flipkart App:

Flipkart's UPI service comes after Flipkart's separation from the largest UPI player PhonePe in late 2022. "Customers can now register for UPI through the @fkaxis handle and use the Flipkart app to transfer funds and make checkout payments," the company said.

Cloud-based Flipkart service:

Flipkart UPI is currently available for Android users, and registration can be done through the Flipkart app using this link. The service is cloud-based and promises a great experience to users. However, as of now, the Flipkart UPI service is not available for iPhone users.
