Designer hair styling company Dyson has launched its new hair straightener, Airstrait, in India. It is priced at Rs 45,900. This hair straightener is a new way of straightening hair. It uses the power of air instead of hot plates, which causes less damage to the hair. According to Dyson, their Airstrait straightener is designed for different types of Indian hair. It helps in straightening your hair naturally, as well as keeping it strong and shiny. Normal straighteners flatten the hair with hot plates, but Airstrait uses high air pressure airblades to dry and straighten the hair simultaneously.

James Dyson, founder and chief engineer of Dyson, describes the Airstrait straightener as "Our deep understanding of how to control and utilise the power of strong air is the basis of the performance of the Dyson Airstrait straightener. This knowledge gained over the last 25 years has led us to create the first straightener that can straighten wet hair, without the need for hot plates and damaging hair. As easy to use as a regular straightener but with a powerful air stream. It saves time, strengthens hair and gives you a naturally straight hair style for everyday use."

This straightener uses air pressure to straighten the hair using low heat. This prevents the hair from getting frizzy and maintains its shine. The special thing here is that this straightener has a motor that Dyson has made in-house. This motor produces such a strong wind that the hair dries and straightens simultaneously. Like other Dyson hair care products, this straightener also has technology to control heat.

There are many modes available

This straightener has tiny glass-like beads that measure the air temperature 16 times a second. This ensures that the air isn't too hot and doesn't damage your hair, keeping it shiny. This information is passed on to a machine that controls the heat so that the air doesn't get too hot. This straightener has two hair straightening modes - one for 'wet hair' and the other for 'dry hair'. There's also a 'cool air' mode for setting your hair. The wet hair mode has three heating levels: below 80 degrees Celsius (175 degrees Fahrenheit), 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit), and 115 degrees Celsius (239 degrees Fahrenheit).

The dry hair mode has two settings: below 100°C (212°F) and 130°C (266°F). There's also a faster-air "boost" mode that runs at 130°C. You can also adjust the air speed and switch to cool air or root drying mode.
