Car Driving Tips in Hill Areas:  Driving in the mountains can be an exciting experience, but it can also be dangerous. There is a world of difference between driving on normal roads or highways and driving on the mountains. Often people do not take this thing seriously and become victims of accidents. If you do not have experience of driving in the mountains, then you should be more careful. If you want to stay safe and avoid accidents, then you should keep some important things in mind.

1. Drive slowly

The roads in the mountains are narrow, winding, and often in bad condition. So always drive slowly. Also, adjust your car speed according to the road conditions. While driving in the mountains, keep your car speed at 30-35. Avoid driving faster than this so that if someone suddenly comes in front of you, you get time to control the car.

2. Avoid overtaking

Overtaking on hilly roads can be very dangerous. If you have to overtake a vehicle, blow the horn and ask it to give way. Also, ensure that you have enough space to overtake.

3. Be careful on the bend

Turns on mountain roads are often sharp. Always reduce your speed and stay in your line when taking turns.

4. Use the horn

Use the horn when you are turning or approaching a blind corner. This will let other drivers know you are coming.

5. Maintain distance

Maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. This will give you enough time in case of sudden braking.

6. Use headlights

If you're driving in low light, turn on your headlights. This will help you see the road better.

7. Do not drive while tired

Avoid fatigue when traveling long distances. If you are feeling tired, stop to rest.

8. Don't drive in bad weather

The weather can change quickly in the mountains. If it is raining or snowing, drive slower and be more careful. Avoid driving if the weather is very bad.
