Android phone users often face a significant problem when their battery dies or their phone is stolen and the thief switches it off. In such a situation, finding a phone becomes like finding a needle in a haystack for users. However, after the upcoming update from Google, Android users will be able to easily locate their smartphone even when it is switched off. For this, they will not need to make any extra efforts.

Google is going to release the Android 15 update soon, after which Android users will be able to easily find their phone even when it is switched off. It is worth noting that this feature was not available in Android phones till now. Also, Google will first roll out this update to its Pixel series. So other Android users will have to wait a little longer for this feature.

Android 15 will come with a great feature for Google smartphone users, making it easier for them to locate their phone even when it is switched off.

According to a report by Android Police, Google will disable the Find My feature in the Android 15 update. This feature will not be available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones and upcoming Google phones. It is worth noting that till now Google's Find My Device feature was available to search Android phones, which was not a very good feature.

Google's upcoming OS Android 15 will have a password-finding feature. This new system will be a precomputed Bluetooth beacon and will be controlled by the device's memory. However, some changes will also have to be made to the device's hardware so that the Bluetooth controls continue to receive power when the phone is turned off. Additionally, the Bluetooth Finder hardware abstraction layer of the device will support the sharing of device details.

Android expert Mishaal Rahman shared detailed information about it on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He also claimed that this feature will be provided with Google's upcoming smartphones Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It is worth noting that no exact date for the launch of Android 15 OS has been given by Google yet, but it is believed that Google can launch this update by the end of this year.
