Google Maps helps millions of travelers around the world reach their destinations every day. Google constantly strives to improve its navigation service to provide a better experience to users. This time, Google has introduced a new and impressive feature in Google Maps called “3D Buildings”.

Google's 3D Map feature

This feature means that users can now see buildings in 3D dimensions while navigating on Google Maps. This enhancement makes navigation even more convenient and attractive for passengers.

Popular tech tipster AssembleDebug shared information about this new feature on his X account. He mentioned that Google Maps now has an option called "Show 3D buildings." This feature has been under testing for some time and has been made available in beta version 125 of Google Maps. It is possible to view 3D buildings in the standard map view through the layer option.

In the post, A toggle option is given next to this feature. When users enable this toggle, they will see buildings along their route in 3D during their trip on Google Maps. It really provides a new experience.

Steps to enable this feature:

  • Open Google Maps.
  • Click on your Google profile displayed in the upper right corner.
  • Go to the Settings option.
  • Scroll through Settings to find Navigation settings and click on it.
  • You will see the option "Show 3D buildings". There will be a toggle option next to it.
  • Turn on this toggle to use the feature. By turning it off, 3D buildings will not be visible.

Although this feature is currently in testing mode and has been released for selected beta users, Google is planning to roll out this particular feature to all users in the near future.
