Even though defending champions Mumbai Indians had to face defeat against Delhi Capitals in the Women's Premier League 2024 on Tuesday, the team's fast bowler Shabnim Ismail has created history in this match.

In this match against Delhi Capitals, Shabnim Ismail bowled the fastest ball ever in the history of women's cricket. He bowled the ball at a speed of 132.1 kilometres per hour (82.08 mph) in this match. For the first time, Shabnim Ismail has broken the 130 km per hour mark on the speed meter in women's cricket.
