Cricket fans are waiting for the ICC ODI World Cup, which is going to start from next month. Rohit Sharma also registered a big record in the World Cup. Even Sachin Tendulkar could not achieve this type of achievement in his World Cup career.

The current captain of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma holds the record for scoring most centuries in a single edition of the ICC ODI World Cup. He has scored the maximum number of five centuries in a World Cup. He had achieved this feat in the last World Cup. He had defeated former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara in this matter.

Sangakkara scored four centuries in the 2015 World Cup. Rohit Sharma will now have a chance to leave Sachin behind in terms of scoring most centuries in the World Cup. Both the batsmen have scored six centuries each.
