The Women's Under 19 T20 World Cup is being played in Malaysia. It has started on 18 January. All the World Cup matches will be played in four stadiums in Malaysia. A total of 6 matches are to be played on the first day. The first match was played between Scotland and Australia. In which Australia defeated Scotland badly and achieved a great victory. First, Australia bowled out Scotland for just 48 runs. After this, Australia started its campaign strongly by achieving a great victory in the 7th over itself.

The opening match of the Women's Under 19 T20 World Cup was played between Scotland and Australia at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval ground in Bungi. In this, the Australian team performed well and won one-sidedly. Whereas Scotland's fate was very bad. Batting first, Scotland's women's team could not even score 50 runs. They collapsed for just 48 runs on the first ball of the 16th over (15.1 overs) in front of the Australian bowlers.

3 batsmen got out on 0, 2 scored just two runs each

Emma Walsingham scored the highest 12 runs for Scotland. The second highest score was 10 runs which was made by Charlotte Neward. Naima Sheikh was out on 6 runs. Apart from this, Pippa Kelly scored 2 runs, Pippa Sproul scored 3 runs and Amy Baldi scored 4 runs, while three batsmen could not even open their account. These included Niam Muir, Macy McRae, and Kristy McCall. All three batsmen returned to the pavilion after getting out on 0.

Australia bowlers bowled sharply

The Australian bowlers did not give any chance to the Scottish batsmen to stay on the crease. Scottish batsmen kept coming and going after losing their wickets. Two Australian bowlers played a major role in Scotland's bad fate. Eleanor Larosa and Kyomhe Bray both took three wickets each. Hasrat Gill took two wickets.
