He has been able to play only 2 T20 and 2 Test matches for India so far, while he has not even got a chance to debut in ODIs. In the year 2021, for the first time, he got a chance to play for Team India at the international level. Then he made his debut against Sri Lanka and played two matches. In these two matches, he could score only 30 runs.
Padikkal could not return to the team in this format again.
