On one hand, a Test series is being played between India and Bangladesh, while on the other hand, England and Australia are busy in the ODI series these days. Amidst these two series, everyone is waiting for November, when Team India's tour of Australia will begin and the 5 Test match Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played between the two teams. After losing the series against India twice in a row at home, the Australian team is desperate to make a comeback, but its desire is under threat. This is because the team's star all-rounder Cameron Green has been injured and the Australians do not seem very confident about his fitness for the Test series. Green suffered this injury during the ODI series on the England tour, due to which he is out.

25-year-old right-handed batsman and fast bowler Cameron Green has performed well in the T20 and ODI series on the Scotland and England tour. However, he got injured after the third ODI. In this match played in Durham, Green scored 42 runs and also took 2 wickets. Australia had to face defeat in that match. During this match, Green suffered a back injury, due to which he could not play in the fourth ODI and was out of the series. Cricket Australia asked him to return to the country and he will reach Australia before his team.

According to a report by cricket.com.au, the Australian team spokesperson has made it clear that the severity of Green's injury will be known only after he returns to the country. Green will soon return to his home in Perth and then his back will be scanned, which will reveal how serious the injury is and how long it may take for him to return. Cricket Australia is currently not saying anything about this all-rounder playing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The 5-Test series between India and Australia will begin on November 22 at Green's home ground Perth and will end with the Sydney Test in the first week of January 2025. He made his Test debut in the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy played in Australia four years ago. He scored a strong half-century in the Sydney Test, while he played short but important innings in the Melbourne and Brisbane Tests.

Green scored a brilliant century in Ahmedabad during the Australian team's tour of India last year. He also scored 174 runs against New Zealand in Wellington this year. Green has so far scored 1377 runs in 28 Tests at an average of 36, while he has also taken 35 wickets at an average of 35. In Australia's last series, Green batted at number four.
