Former New Zealand all-rounder James Franklin is celebrating his 44th birthday today i.e. on 7 November. James Franklin, who started his international career in 2001, played for New Zealand till 2013. During this time he won many matches for New Zealand in all three formats. James Franklin was also a part of IPL. But a few years ago James Franklin got embroiled in a big controversy. Team India's star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had made a big revelation on James Franklin, which surprised the entire cricket world.

Yuzvendra Chahal revealed in the year 2022 that he was abused several times when he was part of Mumbai Indians. Chahal had said that when he was part of Mumbai Indians, a player hung him from the 15th floor. During this, Chahal recalled an incident by naming Australia's Andrew Symonds and James Franklin. He had told that his teammates Franklin and Andrew Symonds of Mumbai Indians in 2011 had allegedly tied him up while celebrating victory in the Champions League final and left him in that condition overnight.

Yuzvendra Chahal had said, 'This is an incident of 2011 when Mumbai Indians won the Champions League. We were in Chennai. Andrew Symonds had drunk too much fruit juice. I don't know what he was thinking but he and James Franklin tied my hands and feet and said now you untie them. They were so drunk that they stuck tape on my mouth and completely forgot about me during the party. The party ended and in the morning when a cleaner came, he saw me and freed me. He asked how long I had been here like this and I told him, 'Since last night'.
