Team India's Sri Lanka tour is going to start with a three-match T20 series. Gautam Gambhir will start his innings as head coach with this series. Gautam Gambhir has replaced Rahul Dravid. Dravid's tenure has ended after India became champion in the T20 World Cup played in America and West Indies last month. Now he has given a special message to Gautam Gambhir. He has advised Gambhir to deal with the challenges that he may have to face. After this message, Gambhir appeared very emotional, which is rarely seen.
Dravid's special message for Gautam Gambhir
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has shared a video on social media. In this, it can be seen that Dravid has sent a voice note. In this voice note, Rahul Dravid said, 'Hello Gautam, I wish you all the best. It has been 3 weeks since my tenure with the Indian team ended. The way I ended my coaching tenure first in Barbados and then in Mumbai, I had never even dreamed of it. I want you to get better results than me and also wish that you always get fit players and luck also supports you, because it is very much needed. When we used to play together, I have seen a glimpse in your batting that you used to give your all. You did not surrender to the opponents and I noticed you even then.
Dravid further said, 'There will be a lot of expectations here. You will not be alone even in the worst of times. You will get the support of players, support staff, management and previous leaders. The message from one coach to another is to smile even in the toughest of times. I am sure that you will take Indian cricket to new heights.
