Team India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma has become a father for the second time. His wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a son late at night on 15 November. Rohit had taken a break from Team India for the birth of his child, due to which he did not travel with Team India. Rohit married Ritika Sajdeh on 13 December 2015. On 30 December 2018, Ritika gave birth to a daughter Samaira. Now after almost 6 years, they have become parents for the second time. Team India players also congratulated Rohit Sharma and his family on this special occasion.

Suryakumar Yadav congratulated Rohit Sharma on becoming a father for the second time after winning the T20 series against South Africa. Suryakumar Yadav said, 'Many congratulations to Rohit Sharma and his family. It is great news to hear on a good day. Another player (Tilak Verma) from the Mumbai Indians family has scored runs, which is a very good thing. I also wish Rohit all the best for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.'

On the other hand, BCCI has also shared a video on social media. In this video, Suryakumar Yadav was seen talking to fellow players Tilak Verma and Sanju Samson. Both these players scored centuries in the last match of the T20 series. During the conversation, Surya informed Tilak Verma and Sanju Samson about Rohit becoming a father. On which Tilak Verma said, 'We are very happy Rohit Bhai, we were waiting for this moment for a long time, I am very excited.' After this Sanju said, 'I am very happy for Rohit and his family. At the same time, Surya jokingly said, 'We have to be ready with small pads, side arm, bat because a small child has arrived.'

Rohit Sharma's chances of playing in the first Test match against Australia starting in Perth from November 22 have increased. Less than a week is left for the first Test to begin and it is not clear whether Rohit will play in the match after a few practice sessions even if he reaches Australia as soon as possible. Any possibility cannot be ruled out right now. Initially, Rohit's playing in the first Test match was doubtful, even though head coach Gautam Gambhir had expressed hope that the Indian captain would be available for the match. In such a situation, if he becomes a part of the first match, it will be a relief news for Team India.
