The Indian cricket team's practice camp is going on in Chennai. After two consecutive days of practice, the players were given rest on Sunday and now on Monday 16 September, the entire team returned to the Chepauk Stadium. For the first time, the entire squad including captain Rohit Sharma practiced under the strict supervision of coach Gautam Gambhir and his support staff. The entire squad because a player from Team India joined this camp for the first time. On the third day of practice, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma once again batted fiercely, where Rohit especially faced spinners while Kohli tested himself against both pace and spin.

Sarfraz arrived for training for the first time.

Team India started its training session on 13th September at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium. The selection committee has currently announced the squad only for the first Test match but all the 16 players were not a part of this camp for the first two days. Young batsman Sarfaraz Khan was asked to play in the second round of the Duleep Trophy instead of this training, which ended on Sunday. After this, Sarfaraz immediately reached Chennai and on Monday he took part in the practice session for the first time. During this, he faced spinners.

Kohli-Jaiswal batted together

Sarfaraz became a part of the team training for the first time but star batsman Virat Kohli batted with full potential in practice after a day off. According to the PTI report, in the session of Monday 16 September also, Kohli reached the nets first to bat, where young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was with him in the other net. Both the batsmen batted for a long time and during this time faced two bowlers the most. These two bowlers were - star pacer Jaspreet Bumrah and veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Both faced the two best bowlers of Team India keeping in mind the strength of Bangladesh's spin and pace attack.

Rohit's focus is only on spin.

On the other hand, captain Rohit's main focus was on dealing with the threat of spin. Rohit, who came to bat after Kohli and Yashasvi, spent all his time batting against spinners. Rohit has scored only 33 runs in 3 Test matches against Bangladesh.

Also, in the last 3 years, Rohit has been continuously losing wickets in Tests against off-spinners and left-arm spinners. In such a situation, it is not going to be so easy to improve this record in front of Bangladesh's excellent spin attack. In such a situation, the Indian captain focused on strengthening the spin game. Apart from these, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Siraj also practiced for a long time.
