On the fourth day of the third Test between India and England, Rohit Sharma's team put in a tremendous performance and set a target of 557 runs for the visitors thanks to an unbeaten double-century from Yashasvi Jaiswal.

However, during India's second innings, everyone was waiting for captain Rohit Sharma to declare the innings after Sarfaraz and Jaiswal completed half-centuries and double-centuries respectively. As soon as the drinks break was called, both of them were heading towards the dressing room. Although it was a drinks break, the team of Ben Stokes, Sarfaraz and Jaiswal took it as an announcement. Rohit angrily asked his players to come back to bat and continue their innings. Even the commentators were confused when Rohit indicated from the dressing room that he had not made the announcement yet.

After the drinks break, India's innings lasted just one more over as the duo added 18 more runs. India eventually declared the innings after one over with 430 runs on the scorecard and a lead of 556 runs. Jaiswal played an unbeaten inning of 214* runs in 236 balls, which is his second consecutive double-century in the series.

Sarfaraz also scored an unbeaten 68 runs in 72 balls in the second innings, which included six fours and three sixes.

Meanwhile, Team India registered its biggest win in Test cricket history by defeating England by 434 runs in the Rajkot Test on Sunday.

Their last biggest Test win was recorded against New Zealand in 2021 when they won by 372 runs.

India has taken a 2-1 lead in the series by defeating the team captained by Ben Stokes in the Rajkot Test.

This win has helped India reach second position (59.52 pct) in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. Ahead of them is New Zealand, who lead the charts with a points percentage (PCT) of 75 after four Tests.
