USA vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024: Pakistan has to play its next match against Team India in New York on June 9 and before that, the performance of the team will be very disturbing for captain Babar Azam and coach Gary Kirsten. Babar's performance will be the cause of tension for the team.

In the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan lost its first match badly and the host America created history by defeating it in a sensational manner. In the match played in Dallas, America defeated Pakistan in the Super Over and made the first upset of the T20 World Cup 2024. America, playing its first T20 World Cup, first restricted Pakistan to just 160 runs and then tied the match by hitting a four on the last ball. After this, they did not allow Pakistan to score even 19 runs in the Super Over and won the match to register the biggest win in their cricket history.

In the super over, USA batted first and Harmeet Singh came to bat with Aaron Jones. Mohammad Aamir bowled the super over for Pakistan but due to poor line and sluggish fielding, Pakistan conceded 18 runs to the USA. In reply, Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman came from Pakistan's side, while Saurabh Netravalkar took over the bowling.

Iftikhar hit a four on the second ball but was out on the third ball. After this, Pakistan got four wickets. They needed 9 runs in the last 2 balls but Netravalkar made history by giving just 3 runs and restricting Pakistan to 13 runs.

Pakistan had a bad start and lost 3 wickets in the powerplay itself. If this was not enough, the second big problem was slow batting. Especially captain Babar Azam looked completely calm and played an innings like a Test match. In the powerplay, the Pakistani team could score only 30 runs, out of which Babar scored only 4 runs in 14 balls. Here Shadab Khan tried to counter-attack, which got some success. While Babar had to wait for 25 balls to hit his first four.

Babar (44 runs, 43 balls) also picked up some pace again and hit some fours. Shadab (40 runs, 25 balls) and Babar shared a crucial 72-run partnership to take the team to 98 runs in the 13th over. Here Shadab and Azam Khan were dismissed on consecutive balls. Soon Babar Azam also returned to the pavilion.

In the end, Shaheen Shah Afridi (23) and Iftikhar Ahmed (18) scored runs quickly and somehow took the team to 160 runs. For America, spinner Nosatush Kenjige took the most 3 wickets while Saurabh Netravalkar bowled the most economically and took 2 wickets for just 18 runs.

Unlike Pakistan, America had a good start. Steven Taylor (12) and captain Monak Patel added 36 runs in 5 overs for the first wicket, after which Naseem Shah got Taylor's wicket. Pakistan had a good chance to put pressure here but its move backfired. Captain Patel made a great partnership with the last match's hero Adrian House. Both of them made a measured attack against Pakistan, in which they scored amazing boundaries as well as quick singles and doubles.

The 68-run partnership between the two took America past 100 in 13 overs. Monak (50) completed his half-century in just 36 balls. This is where Haris Rauf made a comeback for Pakistan by dismissing House and Mohammad Aamir dismissed Monak.

From here Aaron Jones (36 not out) and Nitish Kumar were at the crease but the Pakistani fast bowlers started turning the match in their favor. America needed 15 runs in the last over but Haris Rauf could not lead the team to victory and tied the match by giving 14 runs.
