Tokyo Paralympics 2020: India got another medal, Praveen Kumar won a silver medal in the high jump!


India has once again got a medal in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Indian athlete Praveen Kumar created history at the Tokyo Paralympics by winning a silver medal in the men's high jump (T-64 event). Praveen of Noida won the silver medal with a jump of 2.07 meters.

However, he missed out on winning the gold medal. Broom Edwards Jonathan of Britain won the gold medal in this event with a jump of 2.10 meters. While Poland's Lepiato Masiejo took the bronze medal with a jump of 2.04m.

PM Modi has congratulated him on winning the silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. So far 11 medals have come in India's account in Tokyo Paralympics 2020. This includes two gold, six silver, and three bronze medals. India is ranked 36th in the medal tally.
