Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto has claimed to win the Champions Trophy. He has openly warned all the teams including India.

Bangladesh captain claims to win Champions Trophy

There are not even five days left for the start of the Champions Trophy. This ICC tournament is going to start in Pakistan and UAE from 19 February. Before its start, the captain of Bangladesh is hopeful that his team will win this title. Talking to the ICC website, Bangladesh captain Nazmul said, 'All eight teams are strong and all have the potential to become champions. Our team also has the ability. We are going to play to become champions. There is no extra pressure on us'.

Bangladesh team has been placed in Group A along with India, Pakistan and New Zealand. Shanto further said, 'Everyone (Bangladeshi players) is working hard to win the Champions Trophy. We don't know what is written in our fate. We would like to give our best and achieve our target.'

Bangladesh will play its first match with Team India

The Bangladesh captain has warned Team India as well as the rest of the teams. Bangladesh's first match in the tournament will be against India on 19 February in Dubai. This will also be India's first match in the Champions Trophy 2025. After this, Bangladesh will face New Zealand on 24 February. While on 27 February, it will face Pakistan in the group stage.
