In the first innings of New Zealand, fast bowler Tim Southee has registered a big achievement in his name. He also equaled the record of former great West Indies batsman Brian Lara in terms of hitting sixes in Test cricket. Tim Southee scored 26 runs in 20 balls in the first innings of his 100th Test match.
In this innings he hit 2 fours and one six. With this, Team Saudi has hit 88 sixes, equal to Brian Lara in Test cricket. Both these cricketers are jointly at seventh place in the list of batsmen who have hit most sixes.
