This record of Mohammad Azharuddin will be broken in the final of Asia Cup! This has not happened till date

The title match of Asia Cup 2023 will be played between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday. Even though Team India had to face defeat by six runs against Bangladesh in the last match of Super Four on Friday, it is still considered a strong contender for the title. The Indian team will take the field with the aim of winning the Asia Cup for the eighth time.

The Indian team also has a shameful record in the Asia Cup final. You will be surprised to know that till now no Indian batsman has been able to score a century in the Asia Cup final. Mohammad Azharuddin holds the record of scoring the highest unbeaten 90 runs in the Asia Cup final. Azharuddin played this half-century innings against Sri Lanka on 14 April 1995 at Sharjah ground.

Whereas Navjot Singh Sidhu has played an unbeaten inning of 84 runs. This time captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul are expected to change history.
