Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden believes that the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be special as the legacy of charismatic wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni comes to an end. IPL 2023 could be Dhoni's last campaign.

Matthew Hayden said on Star Sports, 'Chennai Super Kings always tries to do something new and different. They could not play for 2 years but after that, they made a tremendous comeback and won the trophy. No one expected this from the Chennai franchise at that time but they did it.

He further said- 'Mahendra Singh Dhoni has full faith in his players and for this reason, he also retains some players for a long time. I think this year is going to be amazing for Dhoni. He himself and all the fans would like to enjoy it to the fullest. I think this will be the end of Dhoni's legacy and that is why all the fans would like to end it in a grand way.
