Team India will enter this World Cup as the defending champions after winning the previous edition under the leadership of Yash Dhull. This time India's aim will be to retain the title.

India's schedule in the tournament:

India has been placed in Group E for this World Cup. In this group, India will compete with Bangladesh, Ireland, and America. Team India will play its first match against Bangladesh on 14 January. Four days later, on January 18, India will face America. India's match against Ireland is to be held on January 20. Meanwhile, Group C comprises Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Group D includes Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand and Nepal.

Tournament Format:

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 6 stage, where they will play matches against teams from the other group they have not yet faced. The top two teams from each Super 6 group will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the final on February 4. The final match will be held in Colombo. Warm-up matches for this World Cup will be played between January 6 and January 12.
