Fans love Mahendra Singh Dhoni a lot. He has retired from international cricket but even today Dhoni is at the top in terms of popularity. This popularity of Dhoni is becoming a big problem for his fans because such news is spreading on social media in his name which is really shocking. Such news has spread on social media that the government is bringing a coin of Rs 7 in the name of Dhoni, in which his picture will also be printed. Whereas the truth has nothing to do with this.

The news of a Rs 7 coin being released in Dhoni's name is a mere rumor and is completely false. Press Information Bureau's fact check has revealed that this viral claim is completely false. The government has not made any such announcement. PIB Fact Check said on its X handle that the picture of the Rs 7 coin is fake and the Department of Economic Affairs has not said anything about bringing such a coin, nor is there any such plan in the future.

No coin is being issued in Dhoni's name but there is a cricketer whose picture is printed on a note. This player is former West Indies batsman Frank Worrell who was also the first black captain of West Indies. Frank Worrell's picture is printed on Barbados' note. His picture is printed on the five-dollar note. Worrell had united all the islands of the West Indies and formed a team of them. Worrell had scored 3860 runs in 51 tests for West Indies at an average of 49.48. He scored 39 centuries in first class cricket.
