The doctor gave bad news to Shubman Gill, suspense is still on playing the second test against Australia.

Shubman Gill could not play the Perth Test. It was expected that he could return in the second Test, which will be played with a pink ball in Adelaide. But, after the doctor's statement, there is now suspense over his playing in that as well. Shubman Gill was injured during practice before the start of the Perth Test. He had an injury in his finger. The Times of India has given an update on Gill's injury, quoting sources, in which it is feared that he may not play in the second Test.

Out of practice match, suspense over playing second test

The second Test between India and Australia will be played in Adelaide from 6 December to 10 December. This match will be day-night i.e. the match will be played with a pink ball. After consulting the doctor, amid the suspense over playing in the second Test, Gill has now been confirmed to not play in the two-day practice match as well. The Indian team has to play a two-day practice match in Canberra, which will be played with a pink ball.

The doctor advised Gill to take rest

TOI wrote quoting sources that the doctor has advised Shubman Gill to take complete rest for 10 to 14 days. Meaning he will not play in the practice match. Apart from this, there is suspense over his participation in the second Test as well. Sources said that before that we would like to see the recovery of his injury. How is he feeling. Even if he recovers, it seems that he will need practice before playing in the Test match.

Recently, former Mumbai cricketer and Indian team selector Jatin Paranjape had also said that Gill's injury is such that the player may have to stay out for 2-3 Tests.

There is no discussion on sending Shami to Australia

Regarding Shami, sources told TOI that there is no discussion about sending him to Australia right now. There has been no discussion about this, Shami is currently playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

India has a 1-0 lead in the 5 Test series against Australia. It won the first Test by 295 runs.
