The Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is just about to start but Team India's tension is not reducing just before that. Before the tournament was held in the UAE, Team India also won its second practice match. In this match against South Africa, Team India used 9 bowlers and won by a good margin of 28 runs. Despite this victory, the failure of the top order in Team India's batting was once again seen, which was not good news before the start of the team's campaign on October 3.

Team India played its second practice match on Tuesday, October 1 at the ICC Academy in Dubai. In the first warm-up match too, the Indian team led by Harmanpreet Kaur had won on the strength of the bowlers. In that match, Team India's first 3 batsmen, Shefali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and captain Kaur failed. This time too the story did not change. Shefali and Harmanpreet again got out cheaply, while Smriti again could not convert her start into a big score.

Once again, Team India batted first and Shefali got out on the second ball without opening her account. After Harmanpreet Kaur was out, a partnership was seen forming between Smriti and Jemima Rodrigues but it also broke in the 9th over. Jemima, who saved Team India by scoring a half-century in the last match, could not take her innings much further this time. However, here there was a fast and important partnership of 70 runs between Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma, on the basis of which the Indian team was able to score 144 runs after losing 7 wickets. Star fast bowler Ayabonga Khaka took the maximum of 5 wickets from South Africa.

The victory was achieved on the strength of 9 bowlers.

South Africa's opening pair gave a start of 37 runs but their batting also did not show any pace. India's fast bowling attack took charge in the beginning and did not allow the team to bat freely. After this, the spin department took the wicket. Captain Kaur of three fast bowlers used a total of 6 spinners including herself. Except for Radha Yadav, all the other five spinners took wickets. Leg spinner Asha Shobhana took the maximum of 2 wickets and the South African team could score only 116 runs in 20 overs.
