Well-known reporter Vimal Kumar said that Rinku batted for a long time in the nets session on the second day. He told that on one side in the nets, captain Rohit Sharma was batting, while on the other side was Hardik Pandya. In the nets between these two, it was Rinku, who was looking in the best form, and seeing this, the same thought started coming to mind that Rinku should have been in the team.

Another independent journalist Sandipan Banerjee also said something similar in his report. He said that just like the Naso County Stadium, the practice ground also has drop-in pitches and tremendous bounce is being seen in them. He said that among all the players who batted in the nets session on the second day, Rinku looked the strongest, and hit excellent shots on the front foot and back foot by adjusting well with the bounce.
