T20 World Cup 2024 Indian Cricket Team Schedule: IPL 2024 is over. The final match of the tournament was played on Sunday, May 26 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, KKR hoisted the flag of victory and won the trophy. Now after the end of IPL, the T20 World Cup will start, for which almost all the players of the Indian team have reached New York, America. Only 2-3 players are yet to reach America.
America and West Indies will host the T20 World Cup, which will start from June 1. However, due to the time difference, the tournament will start in India on June 2. The Indian team, captained by Rohit Sharma, is present in Group A of the tournament, which apart from India, includes America, Canada, Pakistan, and Ireland. Team India will play all the group-stage matches in America only.
Team India will play the first match of the T20 World Cup against Ireland on Wednesday, June 5. After this, Team India's second match will be against Pakistan on Sunday, June 9. Both these matches will be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member Indian squad for the T20 World Cup on April 30. Rohit Sharma was made the captain of the team and Hardik Pandya was made the vice-captain. Apart from the 15-member team, 4 reserve players were also announced.
