Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed could not be a part of the match against India. Recently a report revealed that he could not play in this match due to oversleeping. However, now the experienced bowler himself has revealed that he had reached the field before the toss. His playing in this match was not already decided.

What is the matter?

Actually, a report claimed that Taskin later apologized to his teammates for not coming to the team bus. He slept before the match against India, due to which he missed his bus. Punishing the fast bowler for his carelessness, the coach decided not to play him in the match against India. It was quite a surprise for the fans as well as experts that Bangladesh did not include Taskin in their playing XI for the match against India.

In the match against India, Bangladesh team included only two fast bowlers Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman in the playing-11. An official told Cricbuzz, 'It is true that Taskin joined the team later after missing the team bus, but why he did not play, only the coach can tell. I don't know whether he was in the plan or not. The head coach (Chandika Hathurusingha) has to answer this.

He said, 'If there was any problem (between coach and player) then how did he play the next match against Afghanistan. He apologized to his team mates and everyone for not getting up on time and there is no need to make it an issue.' Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha has not commented on the matter.

India had registered a massive 50-run win against Bangladesh. The Indian batsmen looked in great form as Hardik Pandya (50), Rohit Sharma (23), Virat Kohli (37), Rishabh Pant (36), and Shivam Dube (34) all scored runs to give their side a crucial win in the T20 World Cup 2024.

However, now a new report has surfaced in which Taskin Ahmed has rejected the claims of not including him in the playing 11. He said, "I was a little late, but I reached the ground well before the toss. I reached the ground 30-40 minutes before the toss. I missed the team bus. Taskin further said, "I reached the ground at 8:43 am. I reached the ground almost with the team bus. It is not that they did not select me because I was late. I was not going to play under any circumstances."
