If we talk about power, wealth, and talent in cricket, then the name of India and Indian cricket comes first. But, despite being strong in every aspect, Team India has not been able to achieve the feat that teams like Uganda and Oman are ahead of it in achieving. Its arch-rival Pakistan is number one in that list along with New Zealand. Australia's team also has the third position. Here we are talking about those cricket-playing countries, whose players have taken 100 or more wickets in T20 International.

Uganda is ahead of Team India in this matter.

So far, players from 13 teams have taken 100 or more wickets in T20 International. But, India's name is not on that list. You will be surprised to know that till now not a single player of Team India has taken 100 or more wickets in T20 International. This is not the case with countries like Uganda and Oman which have less experience of playing T20 International than India. They are ahead of Team India in this matter.

Pakistan-New Zealand have the most players.

The highest number of players to take 100 or more wickets in T20 International are 3 each from Pakistan and New Zealand. The third player from Pakistan was Shaheen Shah Afridi, who took his 100th wicket in the first T20 against South Africa played in Durban.

Bangladesh, England, and Sri Lanka are jointly at the second position in the list with 2 players each. Whereas 8 countries including Australia, Kenya, Afghanistan, Ireland, Oman, Nepal, Hong Kong, and Uganda have 1 bowler each who has taken 100 or more wickets in T20 International.

How far is Team India from a bowler with 100 T20I wickets?

Yuzvendra Chahal holds the record of taking the most 96 T20I wickets for Team India. Arshdeep Singh is in second place with 95 T20I wickets. Jasprit Bumrah also has 89 wickets. It is clear that even though no bowler of Team India is included in the list of players who have taken 100 or more T20 International wickets, in the coming time some Indian names can be added to that list.
