The second match of the league which started on 26 November was played on 27 November, in which the thrill of the super over was seen. This match was between Rangpur Riders and Hampshire.

Both teams scored 132-132 runs.

In the match, Hampshire won the toss and were all out after scoring 132 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Rangpur Riders were not all out but they too could not score more than 132 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. And, thus they missed the target of 133 runs. Now the score being equal means the match was tied, which was decided by the super over.

What happened in the super over?

Rangpur Riders batted first in the super over. Chris Wood, who came to bowl for Hampshire, gave singles on the first two balls. After that he hit a six on the third ball. Singles were again scored on the fourth and fifth balls. While trying to take the third run on the sixth i.e. the last ball, the batsman of Rangpur Riders got run out. The wicket fell but 2 runs were scored on the last ball as well. In this way, Rangpur Riders scored 12 runs in the super over.

Now Hampshire had to score 13 runs in the super over to win. Rangpur Riders bowler Jack Chappell was hit for a six on the first ball. But he recovered by taking the wicket of James Fuller on the very next ball. After this, singles came on the next 2 balls. And Dawson won the match by hitting a six again on the last ball. In this way, an exciting end was seen to the match, where Hampshire won the match in the super over against Rangpur Riders.
