Steve Smith created history with 1 run, defeating Kohli and Williamson together.

Australia's legendary batsman Steve Smith has done a great feat in Test cricket. In the first Test being played against Sri Lanka, Smith created history as soon as he scored the first run. Now Smith has completed 10 thousand runs in this longest format of cricket. Even legends like Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson have not been able to achieve this feat in Tests. This Australian legend has surpassed both the legends by defeating them. Not only this, Smith is also ahead of both in terms of Test centuries.
Smith completed 10,000 Test runs
Smith made a special record in Test cricket on Sri Lankan soil, that too by scoring just one run. By the time the Border Gavaskar Trophy against India ended, Smith had 9999 runs in Tests. He needed just one run to reach 10,000 Test runs. He achieved this special milestone as soon as he scored the first run in the first innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka. He did this feat in 205 innings of 115 matches. Now Smith has become the fourth Australian and the 15th batsman overall to score 10,000 runs in Tests.

Kohli-Williamson beaten
Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Joe Root and Steve Smith are counted among the 'Fab Four'. Joe Root is leading among the four in the Test format. He has the highest Test runs (12972) and the highest Test centuries (36) among the four. Now Smith has also crossed the 10,000 run mark. But India's legend Virat Kohli and New Zealand's star batsman Kane Williamson are still far from this figure. Kohli has 9230 runs in Tests and Williamson has 9276 runs.
Smith is also ahead in terms of centuries
Apart from Test runs, Smith is also ahead of Kohli and Williamson in terms of Test centuries. Kane Williamson has scored 33 centuries while scoring 9276 runs in 186 innings of 105 matches. Talking about Virat Kohli, he has scored 30 centuries while scoring 9230 runs in 210 innings of 123 matches. Whereas Smith has 34 centuries in this format.
