SMAT 2024, Semifinal: Prithvi Shaw kneeled down in front of Hardik Pandya, and suffered a bad condition in the semifinal
Prithvi Shaw got successful after a long period of failure. He played a stormy innings against Vidarbha in the quarter-finals of the Syed Mushtaq Trophy. Shaw scored 49 runs in just 26 balls. But in the very next match, his condition worsened once again. Prithvi, who played for Mumbai, fell to Hardik Pandya in the semi-final match against Baroda. In this crucial match, Shaw batted at a strike rate of 88. In the end, he became the victim of Hardik.

The first semi-final of the Syed Mushtaq Trophy is being played between Mumbai and Baroda at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Baroda batted first and set a target of 159 runs. Hardik Pandya was bowling the opening spell for Baroda, in front of which Shaw succumbed. He gave his wicket to Pandya in the third over itself. In this T20 tournament, Prithvi Shaw has scored 187 runs in 8 matches at an average of 23. During this, not a single fifty came from his bat.
Mumbai dominates, Hardik fails.
Mumbai's dominance was once again seen in the semi-final match. Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first. His bowlers did not allow Baroda batsmen to stay on the crease. They kept taking wickets at regular intervals and maintained the pressure till the end. The result was that Hardik Pandya failed in batting.
In this crucial match, he could score only 5 runs in 6 balls. His brother and team captain Krunal Pandya scored 30 runs in 24 balls at a strike rate of 125.
