Sri Lanka has created history in Test cricket in the middle of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League. This record has been made in the match being played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka has made a big achievement by scoring 531 runs in the first innings of the second match being played in Chattogram.

Despite the mountain-like score of five hundred runs, no player scored a century for Sri Lanka. With this, India's record has also been broken. Earlier, the record of making the highest total in an innings without a century in Test cricket was in the name of Team India.

48 years ago today, in 1976, the Indian team had scored 524 runs for 9 wickets in the match played against New Zealand in Kanpur. No one from Team India had played a century in this inning. Now this record has been registered in the name of Sri Lanka.
