Shubhman Gill caught in a 450 crore scam, know what is the whole matter?

Shubman Gill is in the news. In Australia, he is in the news for playing in the Sydney Test. And here, according to a report, there is news of him being involved in a scam of Rs 450 crore. If reports are to be believed, many other players of Gujarat Titans including Shubman Gill, including Sai Sudarshan, Rahul Tewatia, and Mohit Sharma, are also involved in the scam. This scam of Rs 450 crore is related to Gujarat-based company BZ Group. In this case, a summons has been sent to all the cricketers by Gujarat Crime Investigation Department i.e. CID.

BZ Group had promised investors to give them higher interest rates than banks. But, when this did not happen, the investors complained about the matter to the police. According to the report of Ahmedabad Mirror, the players of Gujarat Titans have also invested money in the Ponzi scheme. CID will now question them regarding this. According to the report, Gill has invested Rs 1.95 crore while the rest of the players have invested smaller amounts. Since Gill is currently in Australia, CID can question him on his return.

News of an arrest in the scam

According to reports, Gujarat CID has made an arrest in this case. Last month, it arrested Bhupender Singh Jhala, associated with the BZ Group scam, from Mehsana district. Bhupender Singh told the police that he has not yet paid the interest of the players of Gujarat Titans.

Talking about Shubman Gill's Australia tour, his tour started with an injury. Due to this, he could not play the first Test in Perth. After that he played the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide, where he scored 31 runs in the first innings and 28 runs in the second. He also failed to score big in the third Test played in Brisbane, after which he was dropped from the fourth Test played in Melbourne.
