Shikhar Dhawan achieved a lot but lost the most valuable thing during his career
Shikhar Dhawan's 14-year cricketing career has come to an end. He has announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket. During this golden journey, many great innings came out of Dhawan's bat. Based on this, he made many records. Dhawan earned a lot of name and money in cricket. He has many awards and assets worth billions. He achieved a lot during his career but lost his most precious thing. Because of this, Dhawan is still upset and often gets emotional while remembering it. Dhawan has also mentioned this in many of his interviews.
Dhawan was out of Team India for the last two years. BCCI also released him from the contract last year. With this, his way back to Team India was almost closed. However, Dhawan was not very upset by this, but an incident that happened in the last two years broke him.
In this, Dhawan lost the most precious thing of his life. Here we are talking about his son Zoravar. After retirement, Dhawan once again remembered his son. Even before this, he has told me many times about the importance of Zoravar to him. Recently, on a podcast, he revealed that he has not been able to meet his son for 6 months. He talks to his son on a video call. Dhawan's son lives in Australia with his ex-wife Ayesha and has expressed the wish that his son should come to India someday.
Dhawan away from his son
Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee of Australia in 2012 and his son was born in 2014. The very next year, he started living in Australia with his family. However, he used to spend most of his time with Team India. Ayesha and Dhawan's relationship soured and after 9 years of marriage, both of them ended this relationship. At the same time, in 2023, Dhawan officially divorced based on mental harassment. Since then, he has become distant from his son Zoravar.
