Fast bowler Shardul Thakur has been included in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. He has been included in the main team in place of spinner all-rounder Axar Patel. 

The selectors of the Indian team have announced to make these changes in the team selected for the T20 World Cup on Wednesday.

With this, Yuzvendra Chahal's dream of playing T20 world this time will remain incomplete. On the other hand, all-rounder Hardik Pandya managed to save his place in the team. 

The BCCI has given information about making a change in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup through social media. Earlier, fast bowler Shardul was included as a reserve player in the team selected for the World Cup. 

Indian Squad for T20 World Cup: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (Vice-Captain), KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Varun Chakraborty, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami.
