In the Bengaluru Test, Sarfaraz Khan was given a chance in the team in place of Shubman Gill. But he was out in the first innings without even opening his account. He faced 3 balls and fell prey to Matt Henry. However, the credit for dismissing him should go to Devon Conway instead of Henry. Conway, standing at short mid-off, took a brilliant one-handed catch while flying. Sarfaraz was surprised to see him catch the ball like this. Even the Kiwi players themselves could not believe it. Henry was so surprised that he held his mouth while smiling.

The entire first day's game in Bengaluru was washed out by rain. But on the second day, the rain stopped and finally, the game started. Despite the thick clouds, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. His decision proved costly for Team India. India lost 3 wickets in just 10 runs. First Rohit, then Virat and after him, Sarfaraz Khan got out. Devon Conway surprised everyone by taking an amazing catch with one hand. Actually, Sarfaraz had tried to attack. But his bat turned.

Sarfaraz Khan was recently a part of Team India in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. But he did not get a chance to play. Apart from this, Sarfaraz was released to play the Irani Cup in the middle of the Kanpur Test. Sarfaraz took advantage of this and scored a double century. He completed his double century in 253 balls in the first innings against the Rest of India.

Sarfaraz also hit 23 fours and 3 sixes during this innings. The most special thing about this inning was that in the history of the Irani Cup, he became the first batsman to score a double century for the Mumbai team. Before this, no batsman from Mumbai could achieve this feat.
