Ever since Team India has fielded Sanju Samson as an opener in T20 Internationals, his bat has been spitting fire. First, he targeted Bangladesh and now it seems as if Samson's fierce form is being seen in South Africa. After scoring a brilliant century in the first match, Sanju scored another century by playing an explosive innings in the fourth T20 match. In the match played in Johannesburg, Sanju hit the South African bowlers fiercely but one of his shots not only hurt the South African team and its fans but also really hurt a fan. It proved impossible for this fan to escape from this shot of Sanju and the ball hit the fan's face with force.

The last match of the T20 series between India and South Africa was played in Johannesburg on Friday, 15 November. This match was to decide the fate of the series and Sanju Samson played an important role in it. The Indian opener left behind the disappointment of getting out at 0 in the last two matches and again showed his explosive style of sending balls out of the boundary to the fans. Samson's bat again rained sixes, which scared the South African bowlers and their fans but one six really proved to be fatal.

This incident happened in the 10th over of the Indian innings. Part-time spinner Tristan Stubbs came to bowl but Sanju did the same to him as he did to the main bowlers. Sanju hit 2 consecutive sixes in this over but one of his shots was so dangerous that it collided with the railing in the stand. Many spectators were sitting near him but one of the female fans was not lucky. After hitting the railing, the ball came towards her rapidly and she did not even get a chance to save herself. As a result, the ball hit her face directly on the left and cheek. This scared every spectator present there. This fan screamed due to the pain but the people present there immediately helped her. During the same time, an 'ice pack' was applied on her face, which helped to reduce the pain to some extent.

Sanju must have hoped that his shot did not cause serious injury to the fan but this small accident did not stop him. The Indian batsman then continued the same attack in the next 10 overs and scored a century in just 51 balls. This was Sanju's second century in this series and third century of his career. Sanju scored an unbeaten 109 runs in just 56 balls, which included 6 fours and 9 sixes. Not only Sanju, but Tilak Verma, who came at number three, also scored a brilliant century in the second consecutive match. Tilak completed his century in 41 balls and shared an unbeaten partnership of 210 runs with Sanju, on the basis of which Team India scored 283 runs.
