Sachin's guru honored, Maharashtra government took a big step

Sachin Tendulkar is counted among the greatest cricketers not only in India but in the entire world. That is why everything related to him is special and everything related to him is preserved. His childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar, who introduced Sachin to the world, is also counted among those special personalities. Ramakant Achrekar gave India not only Sachin but also many talented players including Vinod Kambli and Ajit Agarkar. Sachin will now be honored at the Shivaji Park where he learned the A, B, C, and D of cricket under his supervision. The Maharashtra government has decided to build a 6-foot-tall statue of Ramakant Achrekar in Shivaji Park. Sachin himself has given this information and has expressed happiness over this decision of the government.

Sachin Tendulkar started playing cricket at Shivaji Park. Ramakant Achrekar was his guru then. The Maharashtra government has decided to build a memorial given his guru's contribution to Indian cricket. Sachin was very happy about this and expressed his happiness through social media. He said, "Achrekar Sir had an impact on the lives of many players like him. His life revolved around cricket in Shivaji Park. He must have also wished to stay here forever. I am with the decision to build a statue at his karmabhoomi." The Maharashtra government may be getting the statue built, but after this, it will not provide any financial assistance. The entire responsibility of its maintenance will be of BV Kamath Memorial Club.

Ramakant Achrekar could not play much cricket in his career. He played only 1 first-class cricket match. Achrekar played cricket from 1943 to 1945, after which he started coaching at Kamath Memorial Cricket Club. He gave many players to the country from this club, of which Sachin is the most famous. He got the most fame in coaching. For his contribution, he was awarded the Dronacharya Award in 1990. After this, he was also honored with the Padma Shri Award in 2010.
