On the fourth day of the Kanpur Test, Team India captain Rohit Sharma did something that surprised fans around the world. After Bangladesh was all out for 233 runs, Team India captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out to open. Yashasvi Jaiswal hit three fours in the first over as soon as he came but Rohit Sharma crossed all limits. This player hit a six on his very first ball and then he hit another long six on the next ball. With this, Rohit Sharma became the first opener to hit sixes on the first two balls of a Test match.

This feat was first achieved by Foffee Williams in 1948. After this, Sachin hit two sixes on his first two balls in 2013. Umesh Yadav also hit two sixes on his first two balls in 2019. But for the first time in the 147-year history of Test cricket, an opener has done this feat.

Rohit Sharma scored only 23 runs in the first innings but before leaving, this player along with Yashasvi Jaiswal made another big record. Rohit and Yashasvi took Team India's score past 50 runs in just 3 overs. For the first time in Test cricket, a team has been able to reach the fifty mark in just 3 overs. Earlier this record was in the name of England, which had completed fifty runs in 4.2 overs against West Indies in Nottingham this year. India also crossed 100 runs in just 10.1 overs. For the first time in Test cricket history, a team has touched the 100-run mark in so many Tests.

By the way, Team India's captain Rohit Sharma also showed his strength in fielding. Rohit took a brilliant catch on Siraj's ball in the first innings of the Kanpur Test. This player caught Litton Das's catch on Siraj's ball. Rohit caught the ball which went about 8 feet high in the mid-off area with one hand.
