Ranji Trophy: Prithvi Shaw hits his first century, amazing performance by a 12th-class student playing in place of Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother

Ayush Mhatre completed his century on the first day's play against Maharashtra. By the end of the first day's play, he remained unbeaten on 127 runs, which included 17 fours and 3 sixes. At the end of the day's play, the young Mumbai batsman said about his century innings that he did this feat with Prithvi Shaw's bat. According to Ayush, Prithvi gave him his bat after his debut match against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy.
Ayush said that he asked Prithvi Shaw for his bat and he gave it to him. He scored a century with the same bat. He said that Prithvi Shaw also comes from Virar like him, so they have known each other for a long time. The special thing is that Ayush Mhatre opened for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy with the same batsman with whose bat he scored a century. Prithvi Shaw could not score more than one run in the first innings against Maharashtra.
Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother got a place in the Mumbai team
Ayush Mhatre is playing in the Mumbai team in place of Mushir Khan. Mushir was injured in a road accident just before the Irani Cup, due to which he is out of the team. Ayush could not do much against the Rest of India in the Irani Cup, where he could score only 33 runs in both innings. But, he started his Ranji career with a half-century against Baroda. And now, scoring a century in the second Ranji match against Maharashtra is like icing on the cake.
The 12th-class student started playing cricket at the age of 5
Ayush, a 12th-class student, started showing interest in cricket at the age of 5. But, he started playing this game in a true sense at the age of 15. This was the time when he was becoming famous in school and club cricket. His highest personal score is 254 runs. Ayush's passion to become a cricketer got full support from his parents, maternal grandfather, and uncle. To learn cricket and practice it, he used to travel 80 kilometers from Virat to Churchgate, one side, every day. The result of Ayush's hard work is that today he has made his place in the Mumbai team.
