PCB was badly embarrassed, the ground was being dried with wipers after rain in the Australia-Afghanistan match, and fans trolled them

A very important match was to be played between Australia and Afghanistan on 28 February in the Champions Trophy. But the entire match could not be played due to rain. Despite the efforts of the ground staff, the ground of Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium could not be dried. Therefore, the match had to be stopped after just 12.5 overs of play in the second innings. Although the rain stopped later, the game could not be restarted and in the end, the match had to be canceled. Due to this, the Kangaroo team easily made it to the semi-finals. On the other hand, the Afghan team suffered a huge loss. Since then, the Pakistan Cricket Board has come under the target of fans regarding the preparations for the tournament. It is being severely criticized.
After the match between Afghanistan and Australia was canceled, a video went viral in which the ground staff is trying to dry the frozen water on the field with a wiper. Usually such wipers are used in homes. After this video surfaced, fans have started trolling the PCB. Due to such poor arrangements in such a big tournament, questions are being raised on Pakistan's hosting. At the same time, many fans made fun of the poor drainage system and no equipment with new technology to dry the field. They said that this is the reason why Afghanistan is out of the tournament.

This is what a proper drainage system in a cricket stadium looks like.

The match between Afghanistan and Australia was already under the shadow of rain. However, the weather cooperated during the first innings. But suddenly rain knocked in the 13th over of the second innings. The match was halted for a long time but despite the rain stopping, it could not be restarted. Water had accumulated in many parts of the ground. The match could have been completed by drying it. But there was no adequate arrangement for this in the stadium. Earlier, the match between South Africa and Australia in Rawalpindi was also cancelled in a similar way. The match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was also washed out due to rain.
