The decision on the hybrid model dispute of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is finally going to come. It will be officially announced on Saturday. However, Pakistan has also laid down some conditions for this. According to these conditions, Pakistan will no longer send its team to India for any tournament.

Top International Cricket Council (ICC) officials are expected to finalise the modalities for a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy during a virtual meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday. It has been agreed in principle that neither India nor Pakistan will travel to each other's country for ICC tournaments. As such, India and Pakistan will play in Dubai during the 2025 Champions Trophy which will be held from February 19 to March 9.

Eight teams will participate in the tournament, divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The PCB had said that it was willing to accept the hybrid model only if similar arrangements were made for all ICC tournaments awarded to India and Pakistan.

Pakistan is ready for a hybrid with conditions.

This means that when India hosts the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup, Pakistan will not travel to the neighbouring country and will play against them at a neutral venue. During the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, India will not be able to play a crucial match against Pakistan at home and will instead travel to Sri Lanka for the big clash.

An ICC official told PTI, "There is a virtual meeting tomorrow in which ICC President Jay Shah will join from Brisbane. It is expected that the ICC will make an official announcement after this." At present, no compensation will be given to the PCB for accepting the hybrid model. India has not visited Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup. Pakistan, however, came to India for the ODI World Cup last year.
