Opener Quinton de Kock has registered many achievements in his name by playing century innings against New Zealand. He has scored 545 runs in 7 matches in the World Cup 2023. With this, he has also become the first South African batsman to score 500 or more runs in the ODI World Cup.
Before de Kock, great all-rounder Jacques Kallis had scored 485 runs for South Africa in one World Cup season. He achieved this feat in the 2007 World Cup. Whereas former captain AB de Villiers had scored 482 runs in 2015.
Now De Kock has left both the legendary players of South Africa behind simultaneously. Quinton de Kock played a century of 114 runs in 116 balls against New Zealand. In this innings he hit ten fours and three sixes.
