Ben Stokes led England to a spectacular 160-run win against the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup on Wednesday. Chasing a tough target of 340 runs, Netherlands lost wickets at regular intervals and succumbed to the relentless onslaught of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, who took three wickets each.

Adding to their problems, David Willey also took two wickets, due to which Netherlands were reduced to just 179 runs. Their bold target failed with a total of nine wickets falling in the face of England's strong bowling attack.

Before this thrilling win, England had set the stage on fire with an extraordinary batting performance. Ben Stokes performed brilliantly and played a brilliant inning of 108 runs and surprised the opposition team. Dawid Malan also showcased his skills and contributed a commendable 87 runs, helping England post a strong score of 339/9 in the allotted 50 overs.

With this victory, England has reached seventh place from the bottom in the rankings. The win has significantly boosted their chances of securing a coveted berth in the 2025 Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan.
